Welcome to the web site of Tom Gilbertson. The different galleries within this site represent over 30 years of art making. The Scenic View series includes landscapes of the American west inspired by dozens of trips across Nevada as Artist-in-residence. The Les Fleurs du Mal series evolved from one single watercolor of a dying flower stuck in a Coke bottle. The Nightlife series began with a few dark paintings in 1981, done as personal catharsis after returning from 3 "tours" in Vietnam with the U. S. Army. All of these series are ongoing. Tom Gilbertson:twenty five years was a mini-retrospective at the Oats Park Art Center in Fallon, Nevada in 2007. The Miscellaneous gallery is a catch all of works that don't fit into any of the other galleries.
